Mendrisio, SWITZERLAND (June 15, 2017) - Rex Articoli Tecnici SA, the manufacturer of SwissStop products, is issuing a stop-ride/stop-sale advisory for SwissStop EXOTherm type disc brake pads, due to potential separation of the friction compound from the backplate.

Rex Articoli Tecnici is currently evaluating causes of the potential separation, the specific models affected and course of action required to address the situation. Once determined, Rex Articoli Tecnici will notify distributors of required action. Until that time, customers should not ride SwissStop EXOTherm disc brake pads, and dealers should not sell SwissStop EXOTherm disc brake pads.

IMPORTANT POINTS AND ACTION REQUIRED

• SwissStop retailers should not sell SwissStop EXOTherm disc brake pads until further notice
• SwissStop retailers should inform customers of the stop-ride/stop-sell advisory which is in effect until further notice. Customers should not ride SwissStop EXOTherm disc pads until further notice.
• SwissStop EXOTherm disc brake pads do not need to be returned at this time
• SwissStop EXOTherm disc brake pads are currently not available to order from the factory

REPLACEMENT BRAKE PADS
Replacement pads will be available to distributors in the near future.
