It has come to our attention that our name and address have been used in what appears to be a scam where fake cashier’s checks are being mailed out via FedEx Express and Priority envelopes. Anyone can search the internet and find an address to use in a scam. This appears to be what has happened in this situation. The Hawley name and address are used only as the return address on the FedEx packages. The business and accounts listed on the checks themselves are not associated whatsoever with Hawley. We have intercepted several of these packages and have turned them over to our local authorities. We encourage anyone receiving one of these packages to shred and discard their contents.
